to the web site of Wendover Bookshop, a small, independent bookshop on
the edge of the Chiltern Hills.Established in 1990, we buy and sell both new and second-hand books. local books
We have an extensive stock of books on the Buckinghamshire, Chilterns and Ridgeway locality, its general history and topography, town and village histories, architecture, transport and biography. We also stock all walking guides and maps relevant to the area. We are currently in the process of updating our web site. Our size notwithstanding, we have 10,000 books in stock. We can order any English book in print - many of orders will come to us within 24 hours (this has been the case well before the internet reinvented the world) - and we order frequently from the United States. Our specialities include books on the local region, books on jazz [visit our specialist web site jazzscript] and books on an organic gardening [the owner has a beard and rarely uses a comb through choice, but otherwise is not cranky]. We have a selection of novels for both children and adults of which we are proud. We can even suggest to you books to read. We stock also a comprehensive range of Naxos CDs. |
