The Chiltern Way A 200km Circular Walk Round the Chilterns

A guide to the new circular long-distance path through Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire, in association with the Chiltern Society.

The Chiltern Way has been established by the Chiltern Society to mark the millennium by providing walkers in the twenty-first century with a new way of exploring the diverse, beautiful countryside which all four Chiltern counties have to offer. Based on the idea of the late Jimmy Parsons' Chiltern Hundred but expanded to cover the whole Chilterns, the route has largely been devised by the author and was signposted, waymarked and improved by the Society's Rights of Way Group in preparation for the Way's formal launch in October 2000.

In addition to the description of the route and points of interest along the way, this guide includes 29 specially drawn maps of the route indicating local pubs, car parks, railway stations and a skeleton road network, and details are provided of the Ordnance Survey and Chiltern Society maps covering the route.

The Introduction has Overview Maps and a Distance Table.
